2016 Photos of the Year

2016 has been a busy year for me but I still managed to take thousands of photos over the past 12 months. Don't let that fool you into thinking I've taken thousands of amazing photos because like most photographers my percentage of "keepers" is less than 1 in 10 and the amount of those that really stand out to me is probably closer to 1 in 100. After pouring over everything from the past year I've whittled it down to 12 of my very favourite photos. Sure there are plenty that could be switched out endlessly with these 12 but sometimes you just have to go with your gut. Here are my favourite 12 photographs of 2016 in no particular order:
